The 2025 Academy Awards are just days away, but not all the Best Picture nominees can be watched by Australians just yet.

The Oscars airs on Monday morning local time, starting at 11am AEDT.

There’s ten films nominated for Best Picture this year.

Some have already been hits at the box office in Australia. Others have not even screened yet.

So how can you watch the Best Picture nominees?

The comedy-drama about a New York sex worker who falls in love with the son of a Russian oligarch is wrapping up its cinematic run in Australia.

There’s a handful of cinemas where the movie can still be watched at the moment.

But cinemas may add some sessions if it ends up winning.

You can also rent it on Prime, Apple TV and Google TV.

One of the frontrunners, The Brutalist is a very long movie about visionary architect Laszlo Toth.

It is not yet streaming anywhere but is showing in mostly arthouse cinemas around the country.

This Bob Dylan biopic isn’t streaming anywhere just yet, but is still in cinemas.

Most cinemas are still showing the movie, but there aren’t many sessions on any given day.

The sci-fi blockbuster is only playing sporadically around the country, having been released in cinemas earlier last year.

But it can be watched for free for subscribers of Netflix, Binge and Foxtel.

It can be rented on Prime, Apple and Google TV.

People who watched musical crime film Emilia Perez have found it incredibly divisive.

But watching it in Australia is a very difficult task.

Despite having 13 nominations, Emilia Perez is currently not available to watch in cinemas or on streaming.

The film is a Netflix original but the streaming giant has given no indication when it will be available in Australia.

Hailed as a masterpiece, the drama is not getting a cinema release in Australia.

Instead, the only place it can be watched is via Prime.

One of the most bizarre films to be nominated for Best Picture ever, The Substance is a satire on beauty standards-turned-into a body horror thriller.

The movie is streaming for free for subscribers of Stan.

It can also be rented on Prime, Apple and Google.

If you haven’t already seen it several times, Wicked is still showing at cinemas around the country.

It can also be rented on Prime, Apple and Google.
