Inspired by Marian Keyes’ best-selling novels, comes the latest Hollywood adaptation The Walsh Sisters coming exclusively to Stan.
Derry Girls’ Louisa Harland leads the incredible cast of this six-episode comedy drama series, including Irish American actor Aidan Quinn.
Quinn is best known for playing Sandra Bullock’s love interest in cult 90’s fantasy film Practical Magic (1998).
What’s promised to be a binge-worthy new series, comes the chaotic, dysfunctional but deeply loveable Walsh family of five sisters, a devout mother and a bemused father.
Author Marian Keyes is currently touring Australia.
The brand new series The Walsh Sisters will premiere exclusively on Stan.
Set in their Dublin hometown, The Walsh Sisters follows the lives of Anna (Harland), party-girl sister Rachel, older sister Claire, fearless baby of the family Helen and ‘white sheep’ of the family Maggie as they navigate the peaks and troughs of their late 20s and 30s.

Hollywood’s Quinn plays father, put-upon Jack ‘Daddy’ Walsh alongside Carrie Crowley who recreates eccentric Mammy Walsh.
Joining the lead cast is rising star Caroline Menton (Rachel), Danielle Galligan (Claire), BAFTA-nominated Máiréad Tyers (Helen) and screen and screenwriting talent Stefanie Preissner.
As one of the most successful Irish novelists of all time, the series revolves around characters from Marian Keyes’ novels, including Rachel’s Holiday and Anybody Out There.

Since her first novel was published in 1995, more than 39 million copies of Keyes’ books have been sold around the world, earning Keyes the title of Author of the Year at the prestigious British Book Awards in 2022.
The highly-anticipated on-screen adaptation is set to be a series of it’s own. Expect a sisterhood full of in-jokes, hand-me-down resentments and more than a few old wounds.
But it’s the Walsh Sisters’ DNA, history and shared love of power ballads keep the siblings together in the face of heartbreak, grief, addiction and parenthood.
